Ground coffee, 1936, Brazil

Description

1936 refers to the year Knopes was established and is a good introduction to high quality coffee and the overall range of products Knopes offers.

This coffee is once again composed of a new crop from the Jaguara group in Brazil, a family farm in the Sul de Minas region established in 2001 by the agronomist Antonio Wander. In 2013, André and Natalia took over, with the main aim, after the birth of their children, of transforming the world into a better place. They aspire to quality production while improving the lives of workers and promoting environmental sustainability. Their approach includes organic practices, investment in agroforestry, achieving CO2 Negative certification in 2023.

Knopes selected a batch of their “Jag Cult”, made up of Yellow Catuai and grown at 1100m altitude on their Santa Lucia farm. These cherries are harvested by hand and undergo a dry processing (natural process), bringing a creamy coffee with notes of milk chocolate and cane sugar to the cup.
