Whole bean, Tanzania, Tumaini

Description

This coffee is produced by APK, a family-owned company rooted in Colombia and led by Alejandro Galante, giving APK a unique Colombian touch in Tanzania.

As part of the EFICO Foundation's "Kilimanjaro Water and Food For All" project, APK, in collaboration with Herencia Value Your Legacy and EFICO, aims to mitigate productive, social, environmental, and financial risks in their operations in Tanzania.

They focus on enhancing the resilience of their coffee value chain by implementing regenerative, water-efficient farming systems for coffee and maize in two APK farms, restoring soil productivity and providing access to water and food for rural communities in Kilimanjaro.

In Kiswahili, TUMAINI means "HOPE," which is exactly what this plantation brings to the Kilimanjaro region.

The coffee features spicy and floral notes.
