This ultra-limited edition lot comes from our long-term Brazilian partners at Jaguara Farm, part of the Jaguara group, with whom we’ve collaborated for three years through our "1936" selection.
This year’s batch is exceptionally rare, with only three bags available, sourced from Jaguara’s farm in São João Del Rey, perched at an altitude of 1040 meters. It features the Guará variety, a standout selection from the Cerrado region, developed from the Catucaí Vermelho—a natural hybrid of Icatu and Catuaí.
What Makes Guará Coffee Special?
The Guará coffee is renowned for its resistance to leaf rust, natural vigor, and smooth flavor profile. Its large, bright red cherries mature evenly, ensuring consistent quality throughout.
After harvesting, the cherries underwent an 80-hour fermentation in sealed barrels, followed by sun-drying on traditional African beds. Once dried, the beans were rested in wooden boxes for three weeks and then stored in specially designed bags to maintain peak freshness and flavor.
